Lucrecia Dalt, alongside Luz Elena Mendoza of Y La Bamba, Niño de Elche, and Victor Herrero, shares a haunting new rendition of “caes” from her acclaimed 2025 album A Danger to Ourselves. The ensemble’s interpretation fractures Dalt’s dissonant, delirious original, distilling its essence into a delicate composition adorned by layers of Elche and Mendoza’s spellbinding vocal harmonies. As their voices entwine, sparse strokes of textured percussion and Herrero’s attentive acoustic guitar provide steady grounding, producing an intimate space of tender intensity.
